I’ve known about this brand for years and I was always SO skeptical of it but after a coworker suggested I try metal clips I decided I’d try just this once and if I didn’t like it, I’d swear off claw clips forever. I’ve seriously broken every clip I’ve ever worn but the quality of this is so amazing and entirely worth the price! I have really long thick curly hair, like past my butt long and I had low expectations but am so glad to say I’ve finally found a clip I like and will be looking into buying more! I’m not sure if I accidentally ordered two or if it came with a free clip, but the second clip was also beautiful, just not sturdy enough for my hair and so I repurposed it into a gift for my sister who was also super impressed with the quality.
TLDR: I have an insane amount of hair and was super skeptical but Acrasia surpassed my expectations and I highly recommend if you have a lot of hair!

Holds up very long and thick hair!
I was skeptical about this clip but it does just as well of a job as the Hypernova in holding up my butt length, thick hair -- it might even be a little bit more sturdy too with it being made of metal, even without the double springs and it being somewhat smaller -- it requires a bit more manipulating to get it to go around the whole mass of hair, but once it's in it doesn't budge at all. The open design doesn't make it look as weighty as other clips too. It's a bit harsher on my scalp due to the metal teeth, but once it's in correctly you don't feel that at all.

These exact words when I opened my package and saw my hair claw! My hair is fine and curly but I have TONS of it. So when it’s wet I can get away with baby clips. But once it’s dried.. I need 6 hands to put my hair up. I’ve gone through 3 of the big clips that you can get at Target or Sally’s or wherever you randomly find the biggest ones you’ve seen. I will 100% never buy another big hair claw from anywhere else. This thing not only opens up wide enough for my hair to be twisted up and secured into it. If you have extremely thick coarse hair these are a must I own 5 colors now. They are the best I tell everyone to buy them. The two spring is a game changer, I’m a nurse and work 12 hr shifts and my hair stays put.
The Hypernova is the first clip I found that is strong enough to hold all my hair. My hair is very thick, wavy, heavy, and has been long enough for me to sit on it. A tall order for a claw clip, and the hypernova absolutely delivered. The two spring option provides a firm hold, even at the gym, while the one spring is a bit looser, but fine for more sedentary activities. Acrasia is also really generous with little surprise gifts packed in with orders. 💕
This is the nth time I ordered a clip here and I remain so appreciative! Love this clip, it stays secure and it feels great for my straight and long hair.
First became a customer/follower for the size diversity and unique color/design options.
