What I was hoping for!
Bought the metallic gold in the large size as a gift for a college student with longer, slightly curly hair and she loves it so far (although it's only been a few weeks). It also came with a bonus clip - I think the Cosmo Clip in Blue Waves? - instead of a gift box, which is more than fine by me (and there was still a gift bag). Delivery was just in time (10 days after the order was received, in the middle of the holiday season).
Both clips are gorgeous and the Cara is, from what I can tell, accurate to the photos - more of a classier, formal look. Most importantly, they're incredibly sturdy, and the giftee has reported little to no budging when she uses them to put her hair up. She actually wore the Cosmo on a 5+ hour flight and said it stayed put through the whole trip. Really pleased to support a women-owned business and for a solid product - no regrets!
This clip is huge but not too huge to where it’s like “what is on her head?” it’s the perfect size especially for ppl with thick long hair , they have so many cute colors. will def be purchasing again especially with the eco friendly benefits the clip has, love love love it!
I was skeptical about this clip but it does just as well of a job as the Hypernova in holding up my butt length, thick hair -- it might even be a little bit more sturdy too with it being made of metal, even without the double springs and it being somewhat smaller -- it requires a bit more manipulating to get it to go around the whole mass of hair, but once it's in it doesn't budge at all. The open design doesn't make it look as weighty as other clips too. It's a bit harsher on my scalp due to the metal teeth, but once it's in correctly you don't feel that at all.
It holds up my butt-length, thick and straight hair fully on its own -- the width of the clip when opened and the double springs really help. Not a lot of clips can do this so I'm quite impressed.
